James Sunderland is an experimental writer, working primarily within the non-fiction genre. Their work focuses on form, exploration of matter, questioning identity and ‘selfhood’, queer theories, and chronic illness. They are currently studying their Master of Arts in Writing at the Royal College of Art in London and graduated in 2020 from the University of Sheffield with a joint honours degree in English Literature and Philosophy. They are part of the 2021 Editorial Team for the RCA’s publication, ARC, which was published in Summer 2021. James also co-runs the upcoming publication ‘Homecoming Zine’, which will publish artistic and creative approaches to themes surrounding disability and place.
