James Sunderland is an experimental writer and editor, working primarily within the non-fiction genre.
Their written work focuses on form, exploration of matter, identity and ‘selfhood’, queer theories, and chronic illness. They graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2022 with a MA in Writing, and previously studied English Litearture and Philosophy (BA) at The University of Sheffield.
James currently runs Carrion Press, a small press dedicated to publishing radical and experimental writing and art. They have also worked as an Editor on the 2021 publication, ARC, an Editor and Designer on Homecoming Zine, as well as being a Freelance Editor.
Outside of editorial and independent written work, James has also worked as a copywriter in various genres.
